Cube Entertainment investigation of rumors spread about Trouble Makes's Hyuna & Hyunseung
Trouble Maker’s Hyunseung and HyunA agency Cube Entertainment recently requested for an investigation of those who had spread false rumors on the internet about the two members Hyun Seung and HyunA.
According to their attorney, on January 16, Cube Entertainment submitted a bill of indictment on the grounds of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization for the person(s) who spread false and unsubstantiated information on the Trouble Maker duo resulting in defamation.
Previously, on January 10, on Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking sites, rumors concerning Hyun Seung and HyunA quickly spread, saying that HyunA was pregnant among other unfounded claims. After this, Cube Entertainment released an official statement saying they would take tough legal action.
The bill of indictment states, “Rumors created on an application called ‘I Am a Reporter’ have been spreading, made to look like an official report. The false information has led to a great amount of harm not only for the concerned party of Jang Hyun Seung and HyunA, but their families and agency, as well,” and requests for strict punishment if the perpetrator is found guilty following careful investigation.
The developer of the app released a statement apologizing for its involvement in these rumors, but denied starting them.
On January 13th, the agency had previously requested an investigation of the matters to the Gangnam Police Cyber Investigation Team. With firm action taken once again by Cube Entertainment, it looks like active investigation on the one to first spread the rumors will be starting.
혼성듀오 트러블메이커(장현승 현아)의 소속사 큐브엔터테인먼트가 인터넷에 장현승과 현아에 관한 허위사실을 유포한 자를 처벌해달라며 검찰에 수사를 의뢰했다.
17일 이들의 법률 대리인에 따르면 큐브엔터테인먼트는 지난 16일 오후 "멤버 장현승, 현아와 관련한 근거 없는 내용을 퍼트려 명예를 훼손한 자를 찾아 처벌해 달라"며 정보통신망 이용 촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률(명예훼손) 위반 혐의 등으로 서울중앙검찰청에 고발장을 냈다.
앞서 지난 10일 트위터, 페이스북 등 SNS에는 장현승과 현아에 대한 악의적인 내용이 담긴 글이 급속도로 퍼졌다. 해당 글에는 현아의 임신 등 확인되지 않은 자극적인 내용을 담고 있다.
고발장에는 "'나는 기자다'라는 어플리케이션으로 작성된 루머가 실제 기사화된 내용인 것처럼 돌고 있다"며 "사실과 다른 내용으로 소속 연예인인 장현승과 현아는 물론 그들의 가족과 고발인도 이번일로 막대한 피해를 입고 있다. 철저히 조사하여 죄가 인정된다면 엄중한 처벌을 원한다" 등의 내용이 담겨있는 것으로 알려졌다.
큐브엔터테인먼트가 재차 소속 가수의 악성 루머에 대해 강경한 입장을 보임에 따라 악성루머를 최초로 작성하고 유포한 자에 대한 본격적인 수사가 이뤄질 전망이다.
앞서 큐브엔터테인먼트는 지난 13일 오후 서울 강남경찰서 사이버수사팀에 "장현승과 현아에 대한 악성 루머를 퍼뜨려 명예를 훼손한 네티즌을 잡아 달라"며 수사를 의뢰했다.
당시 소속사 측은 "최초 유포자가 악의적으로 글을 제작하고 악성 루머를 퍼뜨렸기 때문에 법적으로 강력한 조치를 취할 것"이라고 강경 대응을 시사했다.
