NU'EST to debut this March
Pledis Entertainment has announced that upcoming idol group NU'EST will
make their debut in two weeks time. Through a representative, the agency
confirmed that NU'EST is set to get their first debut stage on Mnet's
M!Countdown on March 15 and also plans to release audio and video
teasers soon.
A magazine is also planned to be published which includes more information about the group along with photographs and fashion tips from the members.
The representative was quoted stating that, "We plan on releasing the magazine at least twice a year depending on the response from our fans and the first edition will soon go on sale."
NU'EST is set to be an urban electro band composed of five members and was recently introduced during Pledis Entertainment's "HAPPY PLEDIS" campaign.
Member Minhyun got lots of attention when he appeared in Orange Caramel's "Shanghai Romance" music video earlier this year. He also appeared in a "New Balance" CF together with After School member Lizzy and fellow boy group members JR and Len (Minki).
Doyoon was revealed to have auditioned for SBS's "Miracle Audition", and received praise as the 2nd Jung Yonghwa as they share the same hometown, Busan.
JR, more commonly known as Kim Jonghyun, was the first ever member revealed when Pledis was still searching for the group's final member. He made a short appearance on KBS's "Hello", and was revealed by Kahi as one of the members in the group. He was previously featured in the Orange Caramel video for "Bangkok City", as member Lizzy's boyfriend. He also collaborated with Uee for her solo single "Sok Sok Sok".
Another member that was earlier revealed through KBS's "Hello", Dongho, hasn't been featured on the recent photoshoot, though fans believe he is still part of the full line-up.
