Bangtan Boys to parody it up in variety show ‘Rookie King Channel Bangtan’

Rookie boy group BTS will be showing their off-the-wall charms in a new TV variety show.

BTS’s first-ever reality show “King of Rookie: Channel BTS” (translated title) is set to premiere on MTV next Tuesday at 5PM KST (Korea time), the group’s agency Big Hit Entertainment said in a press release Wednesday.

On the show, the seven BTS members will set up an imaginary TV channel and try out numerous TV shows in Korea, such as KBS’s infotainment show “VJs on the Scene” and tvN’s cooking competition “Master Chef Korea.”

Formed of Rap Monster, SUGA, Jin, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, BTS is a newbie hip-hop idol group produced by hit songwriter Bang Si-hyuk.

They has made their debut this June with first single album “2 COOL 4 SKOOL,” which produced gangsta hip-hop title tune “No More Dream.”
