MBLAQ Lee Joon’s New film invited to Busan Int’l Film Festival
A new Korean film starring K-pop band MBLAQ members Lee Joon has been invited to Korea’s biggest film festival.
The world premiere of “Rough Play” will take place at the 18th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which kicks off its ten years’ festivity in the country’s second biggest city of Busan on October 3th, the festival’s official website showed on Tuesday.
During the festival’s period, Lee Joon and other cast members including actress Seo Young-hee and rookie actor Kang Shin-hyo are set to join numerous audience events including the red carpet event of the festival’s opening ceremony.
Written by acclaimed director Kim Ki-duk and helmed by auteur Shin Youn-shick of “The Fair Love,” the movie will tell a tale of an actor who takes shot at big star overnight but soon fell down to the bottom.
“Rough Play.” set to show the dirty truth of the entertainment field, is set to hit Korean theaters in October.
Other Korean movies to be screened at this year’s BIFF are Kim Ki-duk’s “Moebius,” actor Park Joong-hoon’s directorial debut pic “Top Star” and Ha Jung-woo’s directorial debut pic “Fasten Your Seatbelt,” starring actor Jung Kyoung-ho.
